MODERN MANUFACTURY WITH TRADITION

CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MATERIAL

Craftsmanship means becoming one with the material

About 100 steps are necessary to complete a handcrafted light fixture. Bending, filing, forging, welding, milling… These steps have always shaped traditional craftsmanship. A keen sense for the historical production process and a love for detail are essential. Bergmeister Leuchten thrives on the dedication of its employees and the appreciation of traditional craftsmanship.

Alloys become luminaires

Modern lighting concepts require flexibility in the selection and processing of materials. Only many years of experience with the different materials steel, aluminum and bronze can guarantee optimum results in luminaire production. Bronze, the noble material, evokes the same associations as wood with its calming radiance and natural liveliness. Due to its visual relationship to the element of gold, it conveys a golden glow in the interior when polished. Age cannot harm this alloy. On the contrary: the characteristic, mild patina only develops over time. At the same time, bronze’s corrosion resistance makes it a very stable material that can withstand any climatic conditions.

Durable materials save costs

At Bergmeister Leuchten, fast fashion is not a mark of quality. Our bronze classics have been around for decades and will continue to be available. The advantage for our customers: long-term planning certainty. Historically established stock remains intact, allowing us to restore fixtures in case of damage. When expanding street sections, a light type can be added even after many years. Durable and sustainable products from Bergmeister Leuchten protect the environment and public funds.

PRODUCTION

You don’t always see craftsmanship,
but you can feel it

A luminaire with a simple and straightforward design often gives the impression that it was produced on an assembly line. However, a look behind the scenes of the production and construction of the luminaire reveals the complex craftsmanship. Reduced forms, advanced lighting technology and the highest standards of craftsmanship: the Bergmeister luminaire manufacturer always finds answers to various challenges and innovative solutions for individual luminaires.

Flexible and modern production methods

Our craftsmanship expertise supports the creation process of a light fixture from the very beginning. Construction and material processing are based on many years of experience in the traditional craft of lighting manufacturing. This allows for a wide variety of lighting options, from standard fixtures to custom solutions for specific projects. CNC-controlled machines are also used in the production of the fixtures. All light housings are made to order and can be equipped with our LED modules to meet different lighting requirements based on customer preferences.

LED technology: always up to date

We offer our customers a switch to modern lighting technology. Specially designed LED conversion kits make the classics fit for the future in just a few simple steps. The existing stock is retained. Thanks to the modular design of our luminaires, extensions and modernizations are also easily possible in the future.

Smart Lighting for the Future

We realize tailored, needs-based lighting for flexible urban illumination and connect fixtures multifunctionally with intelligent systems. This paves the way for the integration, networking, and control of common technologies. Accordingly, our products are compatible with various technical systems.

Integrated sensors and public Wi-Fi in light poles and columns make cities more efficient, ecological, and usable for their residents. Bergmeister Leuchten combines innovative technology with craftsmanship. For example, cameras, motion detectors, additional sensors, and speakers can be integrated into our columns and poles. A variety of LED spotlights are available for highlighting urban objects.

LIGHTING DESIGN

Reduction of Form Language – Modern Design

In lighting design, there has been a noticeable reduction in form language for years, particularly with the rise of LED technology. While the focus was once more on forged bronze fixtures, where every weld was visible, the trend in urban areas is now towards minimalist housings and shapes. Screws and welds remain hidden. LED fixtures require forms that speak a clear language. This demands constructive craftsmanship and expertise in metal processing.

Back to the roots – classic design

Bergmeister Leuchten never loses sight of the reference to the classic street lamp. Time and again, local authorities consciously opt for tried-and-tested product lines or new luminaires in a classic design that retain the original character. It is a homage to the traditional lantern, which is made fit for modern times and new challenges with the use of LEDs.
