FC Bayern offspring in new light
The sophisticated buildings of the new FC Bayern Campus are flanked by 63 ‘Canna’ light columns from luminaire manufacturer Bergmeister; 79 ‘Canna’ bollard luminaires mark the pavements on the site. The simple design of the series luminaire is based on the minimalist architecture of the building.

Optimal light distribution despite large lighting distances
The concept for the path lighting on the site (Matthias Dilger, Design Freianlagen, Albert Speer + Partner) required, among other things, that the bollard luminaires be arranged at a distance of at least 11 metres. Despite this large spacing, all areas were to be optimally illuminated and the necessary traffic safety guaranteed. The large spacing of the luminaires is often a challenge for low bollard luminaires. Bergmeister Leuchten has therefore reworked the lighting technology of the classic Canna luminaire to achieve an asymmetrically wide-beam appearance.

Glare-reduced light distribution with standard-compliant illuminance
The satinised LED lenses installed in the light head of the Canna bollard luminaire result in soft, glare-reduced light distribution and the same standard-compliant illuminance with fewer light points. This means that even bollard luminaires can achieve very wide light distances and still increase visual comfort. All columns and bollard luminaires from Bergmeister Leuchten on the FC Bayern Campus are equipped with emergency power supply ballasts that can be dimmed via DALI.

Resistant wet paint with car paint quality
A new, specially developed paint mixture was chosen for the coating of the light columns and bollard luminaires in the FC Bayern Campus. Bergmeister Leuchten dispensed with a classic powder coating here, as damage is more difficult to repair with this painting process. The columns and bollard luminaires were therefore given an anthracite-coloured wet paint in car paint quality, which makes the luminaires more resistant and easier to restore in the event of damage.
