The new ring lights in the pedestrian zone of Tuttlingen create aesthetic highlights while saving space compared to the previous lighting. The rings are suspended from wire cables stretched between free-standing posts and adjacent buildings along the passageway and ornamental trees. As a result, significantly fewer posts are needed for lighting than before. Similar to the light rings in Böblingen, the rings in Tuttlingen make the layout of the pedestrian passage recognizable and illuminate the entire street area. At night, they appear from a distance like white garlands.
This custom free-hanging solution is available in two sizes (0.8 and 1.8 meters in diameter). An encircling diffuser made of opal PMMA within the aluminum housing softens the warm white light of the LED modules, creating a pleasant atmosphere for passersby. At the same time, the lighting represents an energy-saving solution for Tuttlingen.
