The fixture is named after the Dutch city in the southern province of Limburg. The design of the Heerlen fixture is inspired by botany, abstracting the form of a bouquet of flowers.
The relationship to passing cars highlights the monumental size of the Heerlen fixture. Despite its impressive height of up to 18 meters, the fixture maintains a delicate expression.
Here, the Heerlen fixture is seen in front of a modern office complex in the Munich district of Haidhausen. Like petals and leaves, the light projectors and mirrors interact with one another, creating an organic overall impression alongside the delicate columns.
