In the post-war years, Neustadt an der Donau developed into a significant industrial service center, while the historical city center lost its prominence. Population decline, vacant shops, and a lack of quality of life necessitated a new action plan for the downtown area. After extensive construction measures, the appearance of the town square has now been renewed with lights from the Bergmeister manufactory. This new focus is not solely on cars but primarily on enhancing the living environment for the city’s residents.
Where once “traffic lighting” provided diffuse, harsh illumination, today the LED wall and pole lights of the Grafing II type shine brightly. Their classic design allows the fixtures to blend seamlessly into the historic town center, while directed lens optics enable precise lighting on facades, pathways, streets, or objects. The lighting concept visually enhances the various urban components. Satin-finished lenses ensure that light distribution can be optimally adjusted for different mounting heights without causing glare. Notably, the LED wall lights feature flexible lighting technology that sets them apart.
